We will answer the questions
order they were asked.
~ FE8151983
~NED LAND 0.ECLAµATION
C LO. DEGi. QF NATURAL RESOURCES
I
Annual
din the
1. Albert Frei and Sons plan to eventually mine the area
disturbed in Stage 1-2. ~,
At this time the disturbed area is shallow lake or
exposed sand and gravel deposit. To do some interim
reclamation would require spreading topsoil over
the area because grass will not grow on the sand and
gravel that is exposed. Respreading topsoil over the
area already stripped would defeat the purpose the
operator had in mind when they stripped the aliea
originally. The prime reason Stages 1 & 2 were combined
in the Technical Revision was this area. What~idoes it
matter where the operator chooses to start mining; on
the west side and jump to the east or start on the east
side and jump to the west as long as the minEng
operation remains in Stage 1-2.
Thank your for your conments and we hope thisiwill
clarify the Annual report for MLR Permit # 811202.
I
Sincerely, ~
!~,(//~/ (' i
Stevan L O'Brian
cc.
