7
A 1500 gallon water tank sets on top of a hill approximately 20 feet above
the system. Water flows from the tank down to the circular type filters which
remove particles down to the size of pollen. There are no screen or filter
elements to clean or change which makes it very efficient. The water flows into Lhe
larger filter, then into the smaller one and from there into the system.
5. The circular separators
I i•
The water runs from the separators into a main line which lies verticle to
the slope. From the main line approximately 20 lateral lines branch off and run
within l' - 2' of the seedlings. Then at every seedling a 3/8" diameter tube is
placed where the seedling enters the soil. This restructs the water to the immediate
root zone of the plant. On the end of each 3/8" tube, emitters are inserted, which
lets the water out a drop at a time. The average flow rate for each seedling is
.718 gallon per hour. This would take 11.17 hours for the 15001 gallon tank to be
emptied.
22891
