., _ i <br />C~ <br />• RECLAMATION ANNUAL REPORT <br />LYONS QUARRY, LYONS, COLORADO <br />PERMIT NO. M-77-208 <br />1994-1995 <br />The purpose of this report is to comply with the Mined Land Reclamation Act of 1976, <br />Statute 34-32-112 of House Bill No. 1065. This report follows the outlined requirements found <br />in the Rules and Regulations of Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, Section 2.4, covering <br />annual reports. The permit for the Lyons Quarry was issued on June 4, 1978. <br />This report shows the aeeas partially reclaimed, continuing operations and the new areas <br />opened up in the 1994-1995 reporting period. Each area of the operation affected during the <br />reporting period is identified on the map. The map legend indicates the type of operation, the <br />areas included, and the total acreage for each type of operation. The individual areas aze labeled <br />and the acreage of each parcel is indicated in the map. <br />• The mining and stripping areas which are considered major disturbance total 50.0 acres. <br />They include: 30.5 acres in section A3, and 19.5 acres in section C2. The sections that are <br />awaiting reclamation are also considered a major disturbance. This includes sections: A4 which <br />includes 41.0 acres and will be reclaimed as water storage; C1 which includes 1.2 acres; and C4 <br />which includes 1.9 acres. Mining completed and awaiting reclamation totals 44.1 acres. <br />The waste dump, equipment storage, and stockpile areas include: section AS and A6 or <br />32.1 acres. These areas are considered moderate disturbance. <br />There are many areas in vazious stages of reclamation. These include areas where <br />Backfilling is either in process or has been completed, areas where grading has been completed, <br />and areas currently being graded for reclamation. Backfilling is complete in section A2 (11,8 <br />acres). Backfilling is occurring in sections Al, A7, A8, B2, C3, C6, Dl and E1 or on a total <br />of 120.0 acres. Area Bl was graded for reclamation and totals 25.7 acres. <br />• <br />
