We continued to mine in Stage 1 as per the
Technical Revision accepted on June 16, 1983. Please refer the
annual report map for 1983.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Reportquestions
as outlined in Section 2.41 of the Rules and Regulations.
2.41 (1) Mining continues is the area previously disturbed portion
of Stage 1. Economic conditions in the Silt/New Castle
area were such that we did not disturb any of the 5.00
acres +/- estimated last year. We continued to mine to
total depth areas disturbed in 1983.
(2) Not applicable.
(3) Not applicable.
(4) No new seeding was done in Stage L this year.
(5) Not applicable.
(6) The Colorado River flooded Stage L again this year. We
have been monitoring the natural revegetation and plan
to supplement it with seeding next spring.
(7) Mining will continue in Stage 1 next year. We expect to
disturb approximately S.OOacres+/-(brown). See the Annual
Report Map for 1983.
