Division of Minerals and Geology This annual report address mining of both material being removed from the site. Each is mined by a different operator using this single permit. This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary Cessation and it HAS operated more than 180 days this yeaz. The approved bond amount is $84,200 covering 75.74 acres ±, and the facility has seven mining and reclamation phases. Please refer to the 2001 Annual Report Map for the azeas discussed in this text. We will deal specifically with the Annual Report requirements as outlined in Rule 1.15 of the Rules and Regulations and those noted in the annual letter. (1) Clay - No new azea was disturbed by the clay mining operation this yeaz. We continued to mine deeper on the land previously disturbed (blue) north of the ditches in Stage II. Approxi- mately 23.21 acres is disturbed by the clay operation in Stages O, I and II. This included the old clay mined azea south of the ditches, the Clay Plant Site (purple) and the storage azea (tan). A small azea of 0.18 acres was mined in area stripped in previous yeazs (//n. Gravel - No gravel mining took place this yeaz. A total of 11.94 acres has been stripped in Stage A to prepare it for mining (magenta). The gravel operation has disturbed 23.03 acres ± in the mine. Some pit run material was removed for use by the mineral owners from the gravel processing azea. (2) No reclamation was required this yeaz. Filling continued on the old clay mining azea in the green azea on the north end of Stage O. No additional reclamation is required until mining for both materials is completed in any given stage.
