Also, as required, the following information is provided for the annual report. 1) In this reporting period approximately 4.5 acres were stripped and approximately 2 acres of this area were mined. The affected area is in the southern portion of the pit directly adjacent to the recently mined southwest corner indicated in the photograph as area #1. 2) There was no reclamation completed at this site for this reporting period. 3) Acreage in the various stages of reclamation affected this past year include the dike immediately west and the bank on the southern edge of stripped area. Overburden was placed and sloped but no topsoil was placed or vegetation planted. The acreage affected was approximately .62 acres and is shown on the photograph as area #2. 4) No vegetation was planted this year. 5) No fertilizers or soil conditioners were applied this year. 6) Previous reclamation efforts appear to be moderately successful. Slopes are stabilized and vegetation is prospering adequately. 7) It is estimated that the remainder of the stripped area will be mined this coming year, approximately 2.5 acres. Reclamation will contimie along the east side of the dike with some topsoiling and seeding expected on the completed areas. 8) The effective date of this report is 8/31/90.
