7. ANALYSIS OF POSTMINING TOPOGRAPHY PROJECTIONS
• Requirement
In previous Annual Reports this requirement was incorporated
with the swell factor analysis. The swell factor analysis
will now be completed every two and one half years.
The analysis of the postmining topography will serve to verify
the accuracy of the postmining topography projections.
Monitoring for this purpose will remain the same as in the
past, utilizing accepted aerophotogrammetric methods.
Response
The 1991 Annual Report Map. Exhibit 14, shows the mine
configuration and reclamation progress as of the August 30,
1991 aerial flight.
Two cross section (1-1' and 2-2') are submitted which
compare the actual versus the predicted postmining topography,
as well as the pre-mine topography and original box cut/F seam
• contour line. These cross sections are submitted as Exhibits
15 and 16. These cross sections indicate that the difference
between the actual versus predicted postmining topography is
very slight and well within acceptable mining practice.
As swell factor analysis was completed and discussed in
the 1989 Annual Reclamation Report, no analysis is provided in
this report. A swell factor analysis will be completed for
the 1992 Annual Reclamation Report.

15
