SUMMARY OF OPERATIONS
OCTOBER 1984 THROUGH DECEMBER 1984
' SURFACE WATER GAGING STATIONS AND WATER WELLS

' The accuracy of the records from the stream monitoring is defined
by the following;
' Excellent - about 95 percent of the daily
discharges are within 5
percent of their true value
' Goad - about 95 percent of the daily
discharges are within 10
' percent of their true value
Fair - about 95 percent of the daily
discharges are within 15
' percent or their true value
Poor - the daily discharges have less
' than "fair" accuracy
SURFACE WATER GAGING STATIONS
' Sylvester Gulch
Flow through this site remained at a constant rate except for a
few storm events early in the quarter. The float became frozen in
' the stilling well about November 27. The recorder functioned
properly throughout this quarter and all records are considered
' good up to the time of the freeze up.
Lower Dry Fork Minnesota Creek
' After the flow was cut back from Minnesota reservoir last quarter,
flow has remained constant. On about October 11, vandals tampered
' with the pen of the recorder, causing a lose of data for this
period. Then on December 23, vandals struck again. This time
using a large caliber weapon, they put at least two rounds
through the instrument house and recorder. Anew recorder will be
' needed at this site, as well as the possibility of armor plate.
When the unit 'was not being affected by vandals, the recorder
functioned properly and resulting records were considered good.
1
-B1-
