Lochhead <br />E.ecmive Dir«r« <br />' Michael B. Long <br />Hayden Gulch L.oadout was severed from the Hayden Gulch Mine Permit (C-80-OO~Y'Y4f Di'«'°' <br />Spring of 1993. The loadout was sold to HG Terminal Inc. (a Peabody company) by HG <br />Coal Company (a Colowyo company). The Division issued the new HG Loadout permit (C- <br />92-081) on May 22, 1993. <br />Issuance of the permit had several stipulations attached to it. Stipulation No. 2 required: <br />"'The permittee must have field checked the location and size of all culverts and <br />ditches within the permit azea and have a revision (including designs) submitted to <br />the Division for its approval within 60 days of permit issuance:' <br />While Stipulation No. 3 required: <br />"The permittee must submit a revision to the permit, in consultation with the <br />Division, addressing changes to the ground and surface water monitoring plan and <br />have the revision to the Division for its approval within 60 days of permit issuance; <br />and wells and surface monitoring sites in operation before fall sampling, whichever <br />comes first " <br />HGTI submitted Technical Revision No. 1 on July 22, 1993 to address these stipulations. <br />After numerous discussions and communications regarding TR-Ol the Division found that <br />HGTI had addressed stipulations No. 2 and 3 and approved TR-Ol on April 27, 1994. <br />HGTI's 1993 AHR was the first AHR required under this permit. Historic data and AHR's <br />prior to 1993 regarding this facility are found within the AHR's of the HG Mine (C-80-003). <br />c: \jhb\c92081 \history.ahr <br />
