•

scs
November 23, 2005
Dear Sir or Madam:
SGS North America, Inc
Minerals Services Division-Denver Branch
4665 Pans St.
Suite B-too
Denver, CO 80239
I have completed the QuikTM' Response testing for test code 11 (48-hr, Acute, Non-Renewal, 20° C)
Fathead Minnow and test code 32 (48-hr, Acute, Non-Renewal, 20° C) Daphnia magna. Upon
completion I reported my results immediately to Environmental Resource Associates. I have enclosed
a copy of the Final Report so you may report the results to the EPA for your individual sites.
Upon review of the data from the initial run for test code 11 a data entry error was found for the final
calculation of the LC50. When the proper data was re-run the LC50 nearly matched the original
assigned value. However, I decided to continue with the QuikTM' Response to re-verify my methods.
Data entry will be monitored much closer in future testing.
As for test code 32, I suspect the original concentrate may not have been mixed thoroughly enough
resulting in skewed test results.
The Final Report results indicate both tests to fall in the "Acceptable" category and marks the
conclusion of this study. I thank you for your patience in this matter. Please don't hesitate to contact
me with any questions either via a-mail or phone through the information supplied below.
Sincerely,

Heath M.
