'~~'
Western Atlas
International
~.~ ~~.~,
CORE LABORATORIES
Sample Delivery Group (SDG) Narrative
January 27, 1993
Customer: Battle Mountain Gold
Project: San Luis #5284
Core Laboratories Project Number: 922225
On December 11, 1992, Core Laboratories received a set of samples
for Battle Mountain Gold's bi-monthly monitoring program.
Samples were collected on December, 9, 10, 11, 1992 by
representatives of Aalepaska and Associates for Batty Mountain
Gold. The following information is pertinent to the
interpretation of this data package.
During verification of the ICP data, it was noted thatr a Cadmium
number (sample 921209 BMGO1), had a dissolved value that was
greater than the total value. The sample was reanalyzeld for the
total and the dissolved parameters. Further verificatilon of the
total value was performed by running the unfiltered, nitric acid
preserved bottle. Because the results confirmed the original
numbers, it is thought that the dissolved sample could be
contaminated and the data suspect.
Samples 921209 BMG01,921210 BMG03, 921211 BMGO1 were originally
analyzed within the method required holding time for TDC. All
quality control associated with the run met requirements except
for a 70% recovery on the method spike. The samples were
reanalyzed after the holding time had expired with all associated
quality control meeting requirements. The values that were
originally collected were within a method detection limit of the
reported values, but because of the out-of-control method spike,
the second analysis values were reported.
~~~y ~ ~'~~~~
Timothy L.
