Also, CYCC must develop a plan to ensure <br />that the CYCC/USGS Sites 700 and 900 are monitored as required. The report indicates that the March 1988 stage level for Station 29 <br />exceeded the boundaries of the existing rating curve. Accurate <br />discharge values must be obtained for all sampling events. Please <br />provide a plan to revise the curve or to use an alternate discharge <br />measurement method when the existing rating curve limits are not <br />adequate. <br />CYVCC RESPONSE: <br />The development of a rating curve is an ongoing procedure, and the rating <br />curve may be modified as additional measurements are obtained. <br />Also, a new suspended gage has been installed at Station 29. This should <br />help in obtaining accurate stage measurements. <br />MLRD COMMENT <br />3. Please ~~''`explllain the reason for missing the March 1988 full suite water <br />quality sample (Station 29). The approved plan requires such a <br />measurement if the stream is ice-free. <br />CYVCC RESPONSE: <br />The stream was not ice-free, therefore, it was decided to wait until April <br />to obtain the sample. <br />If there are remaining questions, please contact me at your convenience. <br />
