McClane Canyon was in active status from October
through June, although no mining activity occurred. McClane went
into temporary cessation status effective July 22, 1996.
The report appears to be thorough and complete. Required
monitoring was conducted, and analyses performed in compliance with
permit requirements. There are a few things to be aware of:
On page 4, note that Mn was not reported for the 1st quarter,
'96 flow at SW-3. Mn is a required parameter now, but was not
required at the time the sample was taken. This discrepancy
also shows up on Table 4. TSS and TDS are now also required,
but were not at the time of sampling.
The third quarter, '96 analysis list for SW-8 is reduced due
to the temporary cessation status of McClane Canyon Mine
during that quarter. There is a typo under "Well GW-4", on
Table 5. The statement should read that "Sampling at WELL GW-
4 was relocated to GW-3."
Let me know if you have any questions.
