<br />Robinson Brick Company is filing this Annual Report providing a Notice of Intent to <br />Continue Mining Operations at Hogback Mine located in Douglas County Colorado. The <br />mine is on active status, operating more than 180 days per year. The mine has a phased <br />reclamation plan. <br />Operations <br />Clay mining and overburden removal operations continue in accordance with the mine <br />plan. Clay was mined and stockpiled from the area outlined in black (shown on the <br />accompanying map). <br />Permitted acreage remains at 65 acres. The 1998 Mining campaign disturbed an <br />additional 2-acres of land. Backfilling and grading of previously mined areas continues. <br />No additional acres were reclaimed during this reporting period. <br />Currently, Hogback Mine disturbance (outlined in maroon on the accompanying map) <br />totals 23 acres. Approximately 3.5 acres (outlined in green on the accompanying map) <br />have been reclaimed to date. <br />Mining operations in 1999 will continue in the area of the 1998 mining and will also <br />return to the extreme northwestern portion of the disturbed area. An additional 1-acre of <br />disturbance will occur from the northern operations. <br />
