Box 229, Boulder, OD 80306. It covers <br /> the period of October, 1983 to October, 1984. <br /> The following questions and answers are submitted to meet requirements for <br /> annual reports to the MLRB. <br /> 1. What are the locations and numbers of acres affected during the past <br /> year? <br /> Excavation began at the Deepe Farm Pit in 1984. The haul road was <br /> excavated to a lower grade for noise and visual purposes. Approximately <br /> 12 acres in Stage 1 were excavated to lower the plant site and for <br /> settling ponds. Overburden was stripped from approximately 33 acres <br /> in Stage 1 in preparation for mining. <br /> 2. What are the locations and numbers of acres reclaimed this year? <br /> No area is completely reclaimed since mining has just begun. <br /> 3. What are the locations and numbers of acres in various stages of <br /> reclamation? <br /> Road banks were shaped along haul road. 7bpsoil and overburden <br /> stockpiles (berms) were constructed on the western and northern <br /> sides of Stage 1, and will be seeded in the spring of 1985. A <br /> berm was also constructed along the western edge of the settling <br /> pond area which was seeded in 1983-84. <br /> 4. What species of vegetation have been planted? What are the locations <br /> and approximate dates of planting? <br /> The berm along the western edge of the settling pond was seeded in <br /> the fall of 1984. <br /> 5. What are the types, quantities and locations of fertilizers used? <br /> The berm that was seeded was fertilized at the rate of 300 lbs/acre. <br /> 6. what is the company's appraisal of reclamation efforts? <br /> It is still too early to tell. <br /> 7. What are the locations and numbers of acres to be affected during the <br /> next reporting year? <br /> Excavation will continue in Stage 1 on approximately 2 acres. A portion <br /> of the haul road might be excavated to widen it. The area where the scale <br /> house sits will be seeded and landscaped during 1984-85. The topsoil <br /> stockpile (berm) along the western and northern edge of Stage 1 will be <br /> seeded and fertilized in 1984-85. <br />
