The frequency of data collection is in compliance with the approved monitoring plan
contained in the permit document. The operator did a good job at collecting and reporting the
required monitoring data.
No significant anomalies in water quality or water quantity data were noted based on a review of
the 1997 AHR and previous AHRS. Water-level measurements taken from on-site piezometers
continue to show large fluctuations in groundwater levels throughout the year. As with the 199
and 1996 AHRS, the data indicate higher values for conductivity in samples taken from the South
Underdrain as opposed to samples collected from the North Underdrain. From the data
presented, there does not appear to be a significant difference in water quality between the Upper
and Lower Hubbard Creek sample stations. NPDES Permit sampling was not conducted during
calendaz year 1997 due to no discharge from pond outfall locations.
The report is acceptable as submitted. No further response is required.
If you have any questions please call me.
Sincerely, /
Michael P. Boutay (/
Environmental Protection Specialist
David Berry
