RAG-ECBTU-Empire provided corrections to the new report forms for the 2004 Annual
Reclamation Report. In a letter dated March 24, 2005, the Division had identified several items in the 2004
Annual Reclamation Report that needed correcting.
RAG-ECBTU-Empire conducted backfill, grading, topsoil replacement, and seeding on 3.2 acres at
the No. 5 Portal azea in January 2004. The revised 2004 Annual Reclamation Report provides
information regazding: topsoil replacement thickness of a minimum of 6 inches on the reclaimed
slope; seed mix planted as the Range mix: and proof of the proper seed mix applied via a copy of
the seed tag from one of the bags of seed. The topsoil replacement and seed mix planted are in
agreement with the Eagle Mine Complex approved reclamation plan.
2. RAG-EBTU-EC provided a map with the February 17, 2005 ARR submittal that showed herbicide
application locations for 2004. The updated ARR information provided on Apri128, 2005 provided
detail on the weed species being managed, and herbicide applied and the dates of application. This
additional information satisfies the Division's request.
Several discrepancies were noted on the 2004 Annual Reclamation Report form. The values on the
"Annual Reclamation Report Form" have been corrected appropriately.
The updates have resolved the concerns the Division had identified in our Mazch 24, 2005 review. Thank
you for providing the updates and corrections.
Sincerely,
J et H.
