I found the budget form
included with the Challenge Cost Share information I received from the USFWS a bit confusing, so
I included a more detailed budget for clarity. Feel free to call if you have questions about this.
The matching funds requested from the USFWS will be used to hire two full time field
technicians who will conduct the field work portion of the proposed study. Dr. David Armstrong
has agreed to serve as Principal Investigator. Dr. Armstrong is a faculty member in the EPO Biology
Department at the University of Colorado and a recognized expert on Front Range mammals. He
has long had an interest in this particular mouse. We are pleased to include him as a cooperator on
this project.
Boulder County Parks and Open Space and City of Boulder Open Space jointly submit this
proposal for your review and consideration. We will continue to coordinate our efforts with
Colorado Natural Heritage Program, Colorado Division of Wildlife, and EG & G (Rocky Flats)
staff. Our USFWS contact for this project is Bernardo Garza(Colorado Field Office).
We appreciate this opportunity to propose a project that is of mutual interesL I look forward
to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
dQYn..eiLe>'—
Tamara S.
