,±
David C. Shelton
August 20, 1986
Page 2
The reason that this request is being made is that the permit dates of the
above pits do not fall on the same date and it has been extremely difficult
for the county to obtain the information necessary to file the annual
reports on a piecemeal basis. It will be much simpler for the county to
file one composite report at the end of each year as to all of the county's
gravel pits.
Further, the primary season for the use of the gravel pits is during the
summer months when the roads are repaired and re-gravelled. Therefore, by
filing the report at the end of the year, we will be able to take into
consideration the use of the gravel pit during the summer months and the
resulting reclamation, if any, of the premises during the early fall
months.
If this would be acceptable, we would file an annual report this year as to
all of our gravel pits, including any pits that may have been permitted
during the 1986 calendar year. Each year thereafter, we would file a
composite annual report as to the existing gravel pits and as to any newly
permitted pits.
Your consideration in this matter will be greatly appreciated and should
you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours very truly,
BY: /_.a.~
Kev' Royer
KLH:sjs
