SUPPLE~FJ~~ SFEET • <br />The following information is intended to supplement the information <br />provided on the Notice of Intent to Continue Mining Operations, 112 <br />Annual Report Form for permit # M-73-007SG, Daniels Sand Pit //2. <br />The numbered items in this supplemental sheet correspond to the <br />equivalent number on the Annual Report form. <br />2. The total figure of 110 acres represents a total of about QO acres <br />east of Academy Boulevard and 70 acres west of Academy Boulevard. The <br />amount of affected land changed very little from last year as most <br />disturbances occurred within areas that were already disturbed. This <br />is also the reason why this year no annual report map is submitted. <br />Please refer to the annual report map in the 1987-1988 annual report <br />for a portrayal of the essential layout of the site. <br />Only the extraction of sand from the dike that previously <br />separated this operation from Castle Concrete's Sand Pit showed <br />significant changes. But even these changes are so minor they would <br />not be worthwhile mapping. <br />3• No additional land was reclaimed because no additional land was <br />available for reclamation. <br />Q. The acreages presented here are similar to those reported last <br />year. The seeded acreage was seeded in previous years and the seed <br />mixture used was stated in the respective annual report. Topsoil <br />replacement, on most areas west of Academy Boulevard, is not required <br />by the plan, but a soil like growth medium has been placed in some <br />locations as was previously reported. <br />5• No soil amendments were used because no planting was done and <br />previous planting did not require any supplements for maintenance. <br />6. Unless there are unexpected changes in the market demand during <br />the next year, it is not expected the amount of acreage affected will <br />change significantly. In fact, it may show a reduction through <br />reclamation of some lands that have been completed on the west side of <br />Academy Boulevard. <br />MAP: Once again, because of the lack of changes on this operation, no <br />map is submitted. <br />Page 1 of 1 Supplemental sheet M-73-007SG Annual Report <br />
