SHELTON, Director
DATE: November 13, 1985
T0: Susan Mowry
FROM: Jim Pendleton
RE: October, 1985 - B
( Permit ,E~81-~
i\
{>
ibbon Mine Bench Monitoring Report
I have reviewed the stability monument monitoring data submitted by Blue
Ribbon Coal Company. The report presents the results of the
September 17, 1985, survey of the eight stability monuments placed on the
reconstructed Blue Ribbon Mine Bench. The monuments have detected settlements
of between 0.5 feet and 0.17 feet since July 1, 1985. As such the monuments
appear to be documenting normal consolidation settlement of the engineered
mine bench fill. Continued monitoring should document cessation of
consolidation settlement with time.
• /ph
cc: Bob Liddle
Doc.
