1994 Subsidence Report
Page 7
A visual subsidence monitoring inspection was conducted in September and October
of 1994. Panels Y and Z were inspected. Panel Y advance was complete at the
end of 1993 and was retreat mined during 1994. Panel Y advance was cca~lete
during April 1994 and was retreat mined during 1994.
No visual indications of subsidence were noted during the subsidence inspection.
No visual indications of subsidence were noted during surveying or hydrology
monitoring efforts for the 1994 calendar year.
Projected Subsidence Irtg~acts 1995
Subsidence impacts during 1995 are projected to be minimal based upon subsidence
patterns established to date. Mining during 1995 is projected to occur in panel
ZZ and Panel X. Retreat mining is scheduled to occur in panel ZZ. The areas
scheduled to be mined during 1995 are not significantly different from areas
previously mined in terns of topography, geology, or mining technique and should
not, therefore, exhibit significantly different subsidence effects.
Projected Subsidence Monitoring 1995
Per the conditions of technical revision 16, the Operator is required to inform
• the Division of selected sites proposed for surveying for the upcaning year in
the Annual Subsidence Report. For the 1995 Calendar year, the Operator proposes
the follvring thirteen (13) sites for surveying (see Map No. 2-5 appended to
this report) : 14, 15, 16, and 95; drill hole locations 55, 65, 66, and 68;
structure locations >n the north ~ of Section 10 which will be denoted
subsidence monitoring points 94, 96, 97, and 98; and the corner of Sections 9,
10, 15, and 16 designated point 99.
In addition, the Operator proposes to survey the seven (7) Pitlcin Mesa Pipeline
monitoring locations as required.
•
