The
sand processing plant remains as previous on top of deposits yet to be mined. The
crusher remains at the site indicated.
Temporary wetlands are developing in the southeast portion of Phase lA as shown.
Permanent wetlands are developing in the northeast corner of the site.
Backfilling is complete on the south side of Phase IA. Mining is complete in the west
portion of Phase lA up to the AT&T setback, south of our pit access road. Backfilling
will be completed on this west portion before spring. Seeding will follow. All
backfilling has been cut into shale and compacted to prevent infiltration. The crusher and
the sand processing plant will remain at their present location throughout 2005.
We anticipate disturbing an additional ten acres in 2004 in area IC. This area will be
mined rapidly, then immediately backfilled for the creation of permanent wetlands
developing in the 2004 growing season.
Sincerely,
Dan Kehn
Enclosures: Map
Check for Fees
6550 So.
