. John A. McCarty, P.E., Director
3460 N. Marksheffel Rd. ♦ Colorado Springs, CO ♦ 80922
(719)520-6460 ♦ Fax(719)520-6879 ♦ www.co.el-paso.co.us/TransprVdefault.htm
October 4, 2000
RECEIVED
110C Annual Report for M-1980-194 OCT 2 3 2000
Ed Cole Pit (Hodges Pit) Division of Minerals and Geology
This site has been inactive for 1999-2000.
All drainage is within the pit and there are no offsite impacts. The southwest and
north slopes have good vegetation established. Rills are occurring on the east
and north '/2 of the west slopes.
Currently, DOT is testing gradation and r-values on the material in this site and if
found to be viable for our projects, an expansion to a 112 Permit operation is
warranted.
Future plans call for reclamation to the erosion occurring on the slopes and to the
access road during this next year. All seeding will be per the SCS
recommendations for this area.
