2001 Field Maintenance Work at Edna Mine
The attached map shows the location of the following maintenance work, which needs to be
accomplished at the Edna Mine. The item listing corresponds to the number listing on the map.
Repairs shown in red on the map.
I. Culvert E-12 -clean inlet sump and outlet. Clean out culvert.
2. Culvert E-1-clean inlet sump and outlet.
3. Expand low water crossing at the "Y" of Skyline Road and West Ridge Road to the
north, making the bottom wider and the transition less abrupt.
4. Check Dam 7 -Backfill and compact dirt in spillway to grade. Redistribute rock in check
dam.
5. Check Dam 8 -Backfill and compact dirt in spillway to grade. Redistribute rock in check
dam.
6. Goat Trail, ls` Switch back- clean out ditch, reshape inside ditch to make sure runoff
stays against slope side of road.
7. Goat Trail, Culvert TA-3 -clean inlet sump and outlet.
8. Goat Trail, Culvert TA-6 -clean sediment out of concrete box inlet.
9. Terrace 3 -Regrade Terrace 3 from the intersection with Terrace 4 approximately 200
feet east. Seed the disturbed areas.
10. Terrace 6 -Regrade Terrace 6 below the rock channel approximately 100 feet east. Seed
the disturbed areas.
11. West Ridge Road -crown road and repair ditch on north side of road from West Ridge
Drainage check dams southeast through the road cut. Contour furrow and seed rills along
north side of the road.
12. West Ridge Road -Blade road from the Shop Buildings to the Center Ridge Drainage.
13. North Road -repair ditch and blade rilling in the gravel area east of the road and south of
Culvert E-12 (the former fueling area).
14. North Road -add gravel to approximately 200 yards of "soft" areas located south of the
green gate and blade the road from the green gate to Culvert E-5.
15. Backfill gully from center haul road along the south side of the ridge to Lower Moffat
Road with soil imported for this purpose. Contour furrow and seed the backfilled gully.
16. Backfill gully located south of Moffat Down Drain #2 with soil imported for this
purpose. Contour furrow and seed the backfilled gully.
17. Backfill the gully located south of Moffat Down Drain #1 with soil imported for this
purpose. Contour furrow and seed the backfilled gully.
18. Backfill the separation zone located parallel to the North Road east of Moffat Down
Drain #4 with soil imported for this purpose and seed.
19. Backftll rills and gullies located in adjacent to the Moffat Final Pit Segment 4 Ditch with
soil imported for this purpose, contour furrow and seed.
20. Backfill rills and gullies located in adjacent to the Moffat Final Pit Segment 3 Ditch with
soil imported for this purpose, contour furrow and seed.
21. Lower Moffat Road -Contour furrow and seed rills along west side of the road.
