Kaiser Ventures, Inc. is the <br />permittee and Mr. Mike Keegan is the contact person. His address is P.O. Box 37, Desert Center, <br />CA 92239. The permit area is 187.5 acres of which 50 is Federal and 137.5 is private located <br />approximately 22 miles west of Pagosa Springs on Colorado State Highway 151, portions of <br />Sections 29 and 30, T34N, R4W. Total disturbance at the mine site totals approximately 110 acres. <br />AI l disturbance areas have now been reclaimed. Various reclamation activities have been conducted <br />over the past 15 years on areas of the mine site as described in the permit document. <br />Reclamationactivityeonducted during 1998 included minor ditch maintenance and rill repair. This <br />included the ditch extension from the East Pit Area to the A VF and rill repair on the area of the west <br />slope where the Stollsteimer road crossing was removed (see attached map). Total area reclaimed <br />accounted for less than 1 acre which was seeded, fertilized and mulched according to the approved <br />reclamation plan described in the permit document. Other activities that were completed during the <br />year included noxious weed control in late July and harvesting of the irrigated AVF in July and <br />August. During the July cutting, 306 and 0 bails were produced on tfie reclaimed and reference <br />areas, respectively, and the August cutting produced 305 and 1 bail from the same areas.
