2.5 Bio Block <br />A Bio-Block shall be used at the end of the upper, topsoil lifts to prevent <br />loss of the fine material through the COIR wrapped soil lifts. The block <br />shall be placed at the face of the soil lift, retaining the finer soils, and <br />wrapped with the COIR fabric as illustrated on the detail drawings for the <br />vegetated bar. A Rolanka BioD-Block or Filtrexx compost filled filter sock <br />are examples of products available that would serve the purpose of the Bio- <br />Block. Installation shall be in accordance with the manufacturer's <br />specifications. The chosen product shall be approved by the USACE <br />Albuquerque District. <br />2:5.3 Fabricated Tolerances <br />All parameters for fabricated product shall not exceed a tolerance of plus <br />or minus 10 percent of specified values. <br />2.6 MISCELLANEOUS MATERIALS <br />2.6.1 Wooden Stakes <br />Wooden stakes to anchor the fabric shall b <br />shall be manufactured by ripping a 29 inch <br />wooden stud along the diagonal as shown on <br />stakes shall be manufactured from 2 inch x <br />of knots and not damaged.
