-w~
Fnvca®rnW s~emia..m ram inc
Areas where waste rock is removed will be graded such that heavy precipitation will not
produce severe erosion. Graded surfaces will be revegetated by placing suitable plant
growth material (soil) over the surface and planting native trees and shrub seedlings and
grasses to give a natural appearance. Figure 5 is a schematic cross section of a
revegetated waste-rock removal area.
3.6 Road Repairs
The roads and parking areas on site will remain after reclamation is complete. Minor road
maintenance consisting of grading and water bar installation for erosion prevention will be
done after all reclamation equipment has left the site.
3.7 Post Closure Ground-Water Monitoring
Post closure ground-water monitoring will be conducted on a quarterly basis for one year.
Details including monitoring locations and parameters will be specified in a forth coming
plan.
4 REFERENCES
Colorado Department of Health and the Environment, 1995.
