Cragg PLS <br />1476 2900 Road <br />Hotchkiss, Colorado 81419 <br />Phone 970-872-2258 <br />Fax 970-872-3358 <br />In July of 1998 Cragg Surveying conducted the subsidence survey for the Bowie #1 Mine. <br />This survey is based on control monuments established by Colorado Westmoreland, Inc, <br />and later Cypress Coal. They have been in place for several years. The monuments are <br />4 inch iron pipes with a fixed plate which allows the total station to be placed directly on <br />top of the monument. Coordinates for these monuments are as follows: <br />Northing <br />Station B 18,921.18 <br />Station C 17,750.57 <br />Station E 18,257.47 <br />Fasting Elevation <br />8,754.49 8,148.79 <br />8,741.52 8,148.05 <br />17,859.89 8,572.82 <br />The survey has been pertorned by different personnel over the years. Westmoreland and Cypress <br />surveyors up through September of 1994. Ute Engineering and Surveying from June, 1995 <br />through November of 1997. Currently Cragg Surveying is now performing the surveys. <br />A listing of the subsidence stations currently in the monttoring program, with coordinate values are <br />shown here in the following tables.
