Lenz
Subject: May Monthly Operating Report
Mill Operations
1.1 Crushing
Approximately 73,310 wet tons of ore were crushed in May.
Operating availability of the primary crusher was 92.3$.
The majority of the downtime was to repair damage to
conveyor CV-O1 caused by tramp iron. The crusher was
plugged once during the month by a tree trunk.
1.2 Grinding
73,734 wet tons of ore were ground during May. Operating
availability of the plant improved to 83.23$ this month.
Average plant throughput for the month was 119 tons per
hour. Major downtime was caused by plugging of the SAG
mill feed chute numerous times, replacement of broken SAG
mill liners, and continuing harmonic filter problems.
Power restrictions on the grinding mills were lifted on
May 20th. Six harmonic filters have been replaced. Three
arrived damaged and have been sent back to the
manufacturer for repair. Installation of the repaired
filters will occur in June.
Throughput restriction remains in place at rionth's end
caused by operating problems in the thickener circuit.
