<br />0 C COAL P~1I~•~E #2 <br />SUBSIDENCE INVESTIGATION <br />A. SCOPE <br />This is concerning the regulations for subsidence survey, subsidence <br />monitoring and subsidence control as it may apply to the O.C. Coal Mine <br />r2. This mine is located about 15 miles northwest of Gunnison, Colorado <br />just north of Ohio Creek. <br />We understand that the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board is in the <br />process of reviewing draft amendments concerning the subsidence regulations <br />and have endeavored to follow these and the existino regulations in our work. <br />B. BA~Czf~~Alg <br />The information presented in this report was taken in part from the Permit <br />Application and verified by on site investigations. The Permit Application <br />includes a Surface Ownership Map, Exhibit 1, and a report pre oared by F.M. <br />Fox & Associates which contains sections on Surface Water Hydrology, Ground <br />Water Hydrology and Subsidence Monitoring. This report also includes a map <br />of the mined area with proposed locations of subsidence monitoring stations <br />and the applicants' projected production schedule. The permit application <br />also contains a soil survey published by the Soil Conservation Service. <br />C. PF.Nf1IT AREA <br />As shown on Exhibit 1, Surface Ownership, the existing Permit Area is described <br />as the S''-2 Nl•J„ Section 16, T. 15 S., R. 86 W., 6th P.M. (Coal Lease C069942, <br />Permit ~ 79-38). The surrounding ownership is also shown. <br />The present and proposed future boundaries are shown on Exhibit 2 which <br />represent the projected production schedule to April 15, 2025. <br />1. <br />
