It would be helpful <br />if the operator would indicate on the report form whether or not the analyses aze dissolved <br />or total for all applicable constituents. <br />4. The operator currently only has one groundwater monitoring point (an alluvial well in Hay <br />Gulch). At a minimum, the operator should establish an upgradient and down gradient <br />monitoring point in Hay Gulch. If ground disturbance and/or mining may impact or <br />encroach on Pine Gulch, then two additional monitoring points in Pine Gulch should be <br />considered. Please have the operator submit a proposed plan for an additional monitoring <br />point in Hay Gulch. If appropriate, they should also provide a brief analysis of potential <br />impacts to Pine Gulch.. <br />No significantadversetrends with respect to groundwater quality were identified for any of <br />the parameters analyzed. It was noted that the Secondary Drinking Water Standazd for <br />dissolved iron was exceeded in the 6/4/98 sample. <br />c: David Berry <br />
