Y
Page 2
ar.
Reclamation has not been completed on any acreage as
yet. See Item ~`3 for stages of work.
(3) Location and number of acres in the various stages
o~reclamation.
a) Rough grading has been completed on 38 acres of
the top of the overburden deposit south of Cut 15.
Topsoil has been spread on 24 acres of this area.
Four (4) acres of fill on Cut 15 should be added
to bond. As quarrying is completed in Cut 15,
more grading and blending of the edges will be
done. Previous estimates of the post-1976
disturbance were inaccurate. We recommend that
18 acres of this area be withdrawn from bonding
as shown in Item 1.
We recommend that the bond be reduced to "minor
disturbance" for the 24 acres with topsoil, and
to "moderate disturbance" for the remaining 14
acres, as shown in Item 1.
b) The overburden deposit north of Cut 2 has been
rough-graded, reducing this 18.75 acres to
"moderate disturbance" classificaiton.
c) Topsoil stockpile was seeded 10-23-79 as reported
to Ni. Grass
seedings on topsoil stockpiles have sprouted. Test
plots are continuing in cooperation with the Soil
Conservation District on species and techniques.
