Idarado Mining Company
2005 Annual Report
Permit Number: M-1977-403-HR
Anniversazy Date: July 1, 2006
Page 2
removed were imported from outside the permit boundazy, transported to the
stockpile site within the permit boundary for final placement and reclamation.
As described in attached Technical Memorandum entitled Acid Base
Accounting Test Results-Pandora and Liberty Bell Soil Repository prepared
by MFG, Inc. (MFG). The attached Technical Memorandum updates the
memorandum prepazed in 2005. MFG estimates approximately 77,000 loose
cubic yards (lcy) of primazily net neutralizing materials were removed during
both the 2004 and 2005 calendar years from the Pandora and Liberty Bell
development site. Approximately 37,000 cubic yazds of material was
extracted during 2005 from the Liberty Bell azea. It is expected only
minimum quantities of similaz materials will be collected in the future from
the Pandora and Liberty Bell locations in the future. Upon completion of
Liberty Bell removal, the final acid base accounting report was be prepared by
MFG and is attached for review by the Division. As summazized in the
updated report, 42 acid-base accounting sample collections and analysis was
performed on the combined Pandora and Liberty Bell developmental azeas, of
these sample collections and analysis only 3 samples had a negative NNP
(Pandora sample ID ILD-WP 30-120-60 NNP=-8.11, Liberty Bell sample ID
L.B. 600, 25 0-1 NNP=-4.77 and sample ID Liberty Bell Composite #11
NNP=-5.92) Therefore, the mean Pandora NNP was 24.6 tons
CaCO3/1000tons with a corresponding median NNP value of 21.6 tons
CaCO3/1000 tons and the mean Liberty Bell NNP was 30.7 tons CaCO3/1000
tons with a corresponding median NNP value of 22.8 tons CaCO3/1000 tons.
It is believed the materials from both the Pandora and Liberty Bell azeas
placed in the repository will be geochemically stable as placed. The stockpile
area was recontoured to an approximate 3H:1V contour, seeded and fertilized
during the fall 2005 season to stabilize the stockpile materials. It is expected
that the updated MFG report relating to the geochemical nature of the
materials placed in the stockpile will determine the materials are net-
neutralizing in nature and do not require any further specific reclamation type
activities.
d} Attached with the MFG Technical Memorandum is a revised map for the
Telluride repository location, new facility maps will be completed and
forwarded once all final reclamation of the repository location is completed.
e) During the 2005/2006 winter season IMC reviewed current reclamation
obligations as they regazd to the remaining Red Mountain and Pandora
facilities and are scheduled to meet with CDMG Durango office staff in the
