CALDWELL BROTHERS
28040 Road 18
Rocky Ford, Co. 81067
June 1, 1987
Mined Land Reclamation Division
1313 Sherman Street
Room 423
Denver, Co. 80203-2273
Re: Permit M-86-016 Annual Report
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
This is notice of intent to continue mining operations by
Caldwell Brothers for the 1987-1988 period under permit No. M-86-016.
In the past year seven and one-quarter acres have been affected
by gravel mining operations. This area is represented on our original
mining plan map as Phase 2. We are currently reclaiming areas just
mined with sloping and top soil application. On the current mining
plan map, three (3) areas have been completed with top soil application.
This totals approximately twelve and two-tenths (12 2/10) acres.
See enclosed map.
In the coming year we e~.pect to affect nine and three-quarters (9 3/4)
acres with mining activity. The location will be all of the area
listed as Phase 3 on our original mining plan maps. In addition, the
northeast corner of the Phase 4 section, and the northwest quarter
of the Phase 5 section will be affected as part of this mining activity..
We will continue sloping and top soil application behind our
mining face. We plan to completely seed the twelve acres of top
soil in the spring of 1986. If more areas are completed faith top soil
application by then, our seeded acres will be in the range of twelve
to eighteen acres.
We are planning to fence off any newly seeded areas to prevent
machinery or livestock damage.
Sincerely,
CALDWELL BROTHERS
Wayne Caldwell ~ ~, ~ ry w~ p
OCT 27 1987
MINED LAND
RECLAMAYION DIVI51ON
