Therefore, Western Slope Carbon requests that the CMLRD
modify the monitoring and reporting requirements at the mine until
such time that operations may resume.
The proposed monitoring and reporting frequencies are as follows:
Monitoring
• Springs 8 through 11 will be checked monthly, May through
October, for flow, pH, conductivity and temperature.
• The Norris Alluvial Well will be checked monthly for flaw,
pH, conductivity and temperature.
• A complete chemistry will be taken on the Norris Alluvial Well
twice per year (May and October).
Reporting
• The first report will cover January through June and will
consist of the monthly spring and Norris Well monitoring data
and a complete chemistry report for the Norris Well.
• The second report will cover July through December and will
include the same information as the first report; it will also
summarize data for the entire year and be used as the Annual
Hydrologic Report.
A SUBSIDIARY OF NORTHWEST ENERGY COMPANY
395 GMIPETA WAY SALT IAKE CT'.
