What are the locations and numbers of acres affected during the past <br /> year? <br /> Excavation began at the Deepe Farm Pit in 1984, and is continuing in /&" <br /> Stage 1 on approximately 8 acres. <br /> 2. what are the locations and numbers of acres reclaimed this year? ��p, <br /> No area is completely reclaimed since mining has just been. <br /> 3. What are the locations and numbers of acres in various stages of gs <br /> reclamation? <br /> The topsoil and overburden stockpiles (berms) which were constructed <br /> on the western and northern sides of Stage 1 last year were seeded in <br /> the spring of 1985. Also, the area around the scalehouse was landscaped <br /> with decorative rock and planted with trees and shrubs in the spring <br /> of 1985. <br /> 4. What species of vegetation have been planted? What are the locations <br /> and approximate dates of planting? <br /> The berm along the western and northern edqe of Stage 1 was seeded at <br /> the rate of 50 lbs/acre with Big bluestem, Blue grama, Buffalo grass, <br /> Western wheatgrass, Slender wheatgrass, Alkali sacaton and white clover. <br /> Ponderosa pine trees and Pfitzers were planted around the scalehouse in <br /> the spring of 1985. <br /> 5. What are the types, quantities and locations of fertilizers used? <br /> The berms that were seeded were fertilized at the rate of 100/lbs acre <br /> with 18-46-0 in the spring of 1985. <br /> 6 What is the company's appraisal of reclamation efforts? <br /> It is still too early to evaluate. <br /> 7. What are the locations and numbers of acres to be affected during the <br /> next reporting year? <br /> Excavation will continue on approximately 8 acres in Stage 1. See man. <br />
