Some
of the remaining dredge material was tapped but most of the material sold was taken from
stockpiles.
The operation had affected nearly all of the permit area (i.e., 9.9 acres) and most of
the affected could be considered reclaimed. Therefore, late last year, we applied for and
received a reduction in acreage. And, as you are aware, we have recently applied for an
amendment to return the acreage of the operation back to approximately 9.9 acres.
No topsoil existed within the permit boundary because 100 % of the site was
occupied by placer dredge tailing. Therefore, revegetation is not required in the reclamation
plan. However, we have back-hauled, stockpiled, and distributed some soils for
reclamation on a voluntary basis.
Please call with any questions.
Yours Very Truly,
Larry Brown, Ph.D.
President, L.F.
