Developement of the main entries has now progressed to the area predicted
for the Chandler Syncline. The intake entry has encountered considerable
moisture in development, creating a muddy floor and a generally wet
working environment. The water is not measureable at this time. A defini-
ate dip in the coal seam is apparent crossing the main entry and the belt
entry at a strike of S 64 E. The approximate location is shown on the
drawings. Water is accumulating in this dip. In the intake entry a shear
zone, running parallel to the entry inby of the dip, has been encountered.
The shear zone is producing water. No apparent displacement has been
noticed in the face.
Water level measurements and associated data for the water monitoring
wells for the reporting period are as follows:
TPW-1 CALDIROLA NO. 2
DATE: 12/3/87 2/27/88 4/19/88 12/3/87 2/27/88 4/19/88
CONDUCTIVITY 780 800 820 660 640 '700
PH B.5 8.5 8.2 7.5 7.4 7.5'
LEVEL 146.5 147.5 144.1 83.5 85.6 83:0
TEMPERATURE 54 F 52 F 53 F 52 F 52 F 52 F
The water level in well No. TPW-1 decreased 1.0 ft. from 12/3 to 2/27 and
increased 3.4 ft. from 2/27 to 4/19.
