February 4, 2003
Mr. Tom Kaldenbach
Environmental Protection Specialist
Division of Minerals and Geology
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Re: 2002 Annual Reclamation Resort; Permit No. C-82-056
Dear Mr. Kaldenbach:
FtE~~a'~f~D
FEB 1 ~S 1003
Division of Minerals and Geala~y
Please find enclosed two copies of the above referenced Annual Reclamation Report (ARR) for the
Foidel Creek Mine. The 2001 ARR listed a total disturbed acreage of 466.3 acres, however in examining
the State Revision Decisions at the beginning of 2002, we appear to start 2002 off with 467 acres.
Perhaps the ending total acreage for 2001 had been rounded up to 467 acres. As discussed in our
telephone conversation of January 31s`, TCC will use the origina1466.3 acres as our 2002 starting point
under Table 1, the Reclamation Summary,
During 2002, the only acreage change was associated with the water line going from the Fish Creek
Borehole to 7 North Escape Shaft and other surface modifications increased the disturbed acreage by 1.2
acres (MR-179). Thus, the total disturbed acreage for 2002 was 467.5 acres. The location of this site is
shown on the attached 2002 Reclamation Map.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact me directly at (970) 870-2750.
Sincerely,
~.~,
Brian A.
