• measurements shows that the 1993 peek flow value was the highest measured since 1986.
Review of Table 17 shows water at this site to be a XgCaNa-S04 type. The average TDS
value of 887 mg/l falls within the historic range.
N PDES Discharge Point 002. Nydrographs based on weekly flow measurements are presented in
Appendix E. The hydrographs consist of two pages, the first is for data collected in 1993
only, end the second shows historical data from January, 1980, to September, 1993. Review
of the second hydrograph shows the highest flows since 1985. this is also confirmed by
the following table which lists the mean weekly flows for each year.
1993wY (Hater Year) 0.602 cfs
1992wY = 0.072 cfs
1991wY = 0.072 cfs
1990wY = 0.076 cfs
1989wY = 0.181 cfs
1988wY = 0.055 cts
1987wY = 0.070 cfs
1986wY = 0.568 cfs
• 1985CY (Calendar Year) = 1.172 cfs
1984CY = 1.439 cfs
1983CY = 0.531 cfs
1982CY = 0.547 cfs
1981CY = 0.098 cfs
1980CY - = 0.990 cfs
Discharges measured at this site are also affected by the pumping of water from this pond
for the truck wash system. This pumping began on September 18, 1984.
Review of Table 15 shows this water [o be a MgC a-504 type. The annual average TDS value
of 2813 mg/l at this site in 1993 is the highest yet. This high value is due to: 1) high
TDS values generally occur in the late summer/early fall; 2) this is the first year since
1984 that flow was present in both August and September; and 3) the increase, since 1984,
of the wolf Creek Coat ml ning area.
Grassy Creek Draineae. Three monitoring sites lie within the Grassy Creek drainage:
• Surface water Site Sw-52-1, located upstream on Grassy Creek; NPDES Discharge Point 003,
also known as the Shop Reservoir or the Northwest Impoundment, located just north of the
13
