• Data for the 2000 water year (October, 1999 -September, 2000) was published in 2001 by
the USGS. The USGS water data can also be down loaded from the USGS Web site at
htt://co.water.usgs.gov. The USGS report (pages 365-376) contain data pertaining to the
WRN project. Table 6-1 is a summary of key 2000 data for the WRN site. Historical data
indicates ail stations reported lower flows in 2000 than 1999 with significantly lower
precipitation in 2000. All stations except for Yellow Creek had lower than average flows for
the period of record average. Yellow Creek near the White River Station had higher flows
than for the period of record average for that site (5.41 cfs) versus period of record of 3.15
cis.
Industrial activity at C-a and C-b Oil Shale Tracts may have influenced flows (higher) during
• period of record, especially station 6242 near C-a tract. No significant effects on stream
flow have been noted or expected during WRN's operation (1990-2000).
Review of USGS stream water quality data indicates no significant change in stream water
quality through 2000. Therefore, no effect on stream water quality was noted from the
WRN operation.
. 36
