• 5.2.2 Topsoil Storage <br />A total of twenty-five cubic yards of topsoil was removed for wells 26-3C and 1-3A. Topsoil <br />was disturbed near stockpile east of 2B-3C in 2001. At year end the topsoil stockpiled was <br />approximately 75,025 cubic yards. <br />5.3 Reclamation Activity <br />5.3.1 Seeding <br />Approximately .5 acres of disturbed area was broadcast seeding (double the drilled rate with <br />seed mixture) approved by the BLM and DMG, see Table 5-Z. Figure 5-1 illustrates 2001 <br />status of disturbed, reclaimed areas and planned disturbed areas for 2002. <br />• 5.3.2 Mulching <br />No hydromulching was necessary in 2001, <br />5.3.3 Reclamation Fencing <br />No new fences waere built in 2001; however, repairs and maintenance was performed to all <br />existing fences. Fencing is utilized to protect reclamation during establishment and to keep <br />livestock out of the mud pits. <br />5.3.4 Monitoring <br />Per WRN's monitoring plan, reclaimed areas were sampled for herbaceous evaluation after <br />the fourth year of reclamation. Topsoil embankments were sampled in late July 2001, just <br />• past the peak growth stage. <br />25 <br />
