• 4.3.3 Monitoring Wells
No new monitoring wells were drilled or completed in 2001. Pressure transducers were
replaced in monitoring wells 90-2 and DS-2 in July of 2001. EX-2, 4A-iV, and 93-2M, are
all equipped with pressure transducers that have continuous water levels (WL) readouts
in the control room. Production welt 90-5 was plugged and abandoned, and is no longer
utilized for WL monitoring. In addition there are fourteen wells equipped with pressure
transducers, each record WL continuously and the readouts are reported monthly. Water
quality data is collected from sixteen wells. Fifteen are dedicated to monitoring and one is
also used as raw water well. Water quality cleanup work for IRIS was completed and was
successful in 2001.
• 4.3.4 Geotechnical Program
A long term, fime{iomain-reflectometry monitoring program associated with well 4A-5M
showed no indication of subsidence in 2001. There has been no indication of subsidence
from this well since installation. SurFace movements were surveyed and no detectable
subsidence was noted. No major drilling program is planned which will significantly advance
the geotechnical program in 2002.
C~
21
