The only new evidence of subsidence was over the middle
part of Section No. 4 Right. The new cracks ran from east to
west over the pillared portion of the section, approximately over
crosscut 15. The Huntington Ditch crosses section No. 4 Right at
about crosscut 10, so the ditch will not be threatened for about
5 more crosscuts, or about 300 feet.
An inspection of the subsidence cracks noted in previous reports
revealed considerable "healing". Several cracks were barely
noticeable. No cracks were located in the vicinity of the
Huntington Ditch.
Call if you have questions or comments.
Sincerel~~
Tom Bird
Planning & Engineering
(Chief Crack Inspector)
National King Coal, LLC
