- l t • <br /> <br />MOON PIT -- PERMIT # 77-443 <br />Annual Report 1982 <br />During 1982 Beaver Brothers, Inc, has conducted mining opera- <br />tions at their Moon Pit under CMLRD Permit #77-443 and intend:; to <br />continue to do so, Mining at this pit generally occurs between Spring <br />and Fall when weather conditions permit, Material is then stockpiled <br />for use throughout the year, <br />Approximately one acre was affected by the mining operation <br />this past year, The operation commenced on the highwall in the north- <br />east area of the mine, where operations from tt~e previous year had <br />stopped, and continued in a northeasterly direction, A limited amoto~t <br />of topsoil was fow~d within the area mined in 1982. This material was <br />salvaged and stockpiled along the northern boundary of the mine permit <br />area. <br />During the coming year it is anticipated that between one•-half <br />and three-quarters of an acre of land lying to the northeast of the: exist- <br />ing highwall will be affected by the mining operation. <br />No reclamation was conducted at the mine in the past twelve <br />months, Reclamation will be done at the completion of mining operations <br />as stated in the permit. <br />
