Dept of Nstural Resources
Gentlemen,
Re: Albert Frei and Sons, Silt Pit, MLR Permit No. 81-202
Our files indicate that the anniversary date for this permit is
November 29, 1983. We continued to mine in Stage 1 as per the
Technical Revision accepted on June 16, 1983. Please refer to
last years annual report map.
We will deal specifically with each of the Annual Report questions
as outlined in Section 2.41 of the Rules and Regulations.
2.41 (1) Mining continues is the area previously disturbed in
Stage 1.
(2) Not applicable.
(3) Not applicable.
(4) In March 1984 Stage L was seeded with the approved
seed mixture.
(5) Not applicable.
(6) In late May and early June the Colorado River reached
its peak flood stage and flooded the entire area of
Stage L. In doing so Stage L became part of the high
water channel for the river. All of the reclamation
work preformed was destroyed and the level of the land
was lowered to the river bed level. It appears at this
time that when ever the Colorado floods this stage will
be inundated with flood waters thus making it impossible
to reclaim as any thing other than flood plane.
