Box 161
Silt, Colorado 81652
September 29, 1993
Dear Steve;
Pursuant to our survey observations on 09-29-93, I feel
confident that the horizontal accuracy is within the
allowable 1:20,000 and the vertical accuracy is +/- 0.10
feet.
The vertical tolerance is as specified by Mr. Jim Pendelton
of MLRD based on a telephone conversation on October 19,
1990.
I have enclosed the calculation sheet cahich shows the
vertical differences between the observations done on June
30, 1993 and those of September 29, 1993. There appears to
have been some movement in Monument k2. This could be
attributed to the heavy heat wave activity which we have not
experienced previously. I would !suggest hat we pay careful
attention to this monument to see if the next results will
move it back to the position of .12-17-92.
You will notice that three of the monuments are shown as
being. approximately one tenth locaer than the previous
observation. I would like to point out that this falls within
the allowable tolerance although I try to keep the results to
a closer tolerance than the allowable. I did observe
considerable heat wave activity and this may have influenced
the outcome. If these results are less than satisfactory-, I
would suggest that. we attempt to make the survey observations
earlier or Later in the day when heat ~.~ave activity has
decreased.
Thanking You for the work and please let me know iP I can be
cf further serv.i.ce t.e }'o~_I.
