EASTSiDE COAL COMPANY. IN G.
Subsidence Report
September 1993
Extraction Limits
No mining has occurred at the Eastside Mine since the last subsidence
survey. The Mine Map dated September, 1993 shows the current extent
of mining. A conservative angle of draw of 25' includes Monument 1 and
2 in the area of possible influence from subsidence.
Observed Subsidence
Monuments 1 and 2 as well as the Alternate Monument Points 1 and 2
were surveyed on September 29, 1993.
1'he results are shown in the enclosed tables.
honument 1 and Monument 1:Alternate both show a decrease in elevation
of 0.380 and 0.096, respectively, from the original survey, Monument 2
and Monument 2:Alternate both show a decrease of 0.320 and 0.085,
respectively, from the original survey. The differences from the original
surveys ma}~ be due to heat wave activity on the survey dates.
All four Monuments, 1, 2, 1: Alternate, and 2: Alternate, will be surveyed
in the future to see if seasonal trends continue. The survey continues
to show minimal seasonal movement due to frost heaving.
No structures oc renewable resources have been affected by subsidence
of the Eastside Mine.
