FLAG SAND AND GRAVEL CD. PACE 2
NOVEMBER 27 2001 ,
be necessary when the lake fills with water. We are still
using the Plant Site and it contains gravel stockpiles, the
concrete casting beds, and the office facilities.
(2) Reclamation was complete on the above water and below water
slope on the north, west and south sides of the west lake
area this year. This fall Steve Shuey inspected the site
and released the under water slopes, fish habitat and
wetland areas so dewatering could end. We estimate there
will be 40.4 acres ± of water surface when the lake stabi-
lizes. The green area around the west lake covers 15.60
acres t and is the area released this fall. Seeding will
begin once the lake level stabilizes and the ground water
level is static. Limited reclamation is needed in the east
lake area as the slopes are shaped as mining progresses.
(3) Mining will continue east of the Plant Site in the southwest
corner on the area colored purple. The western area
dewatering will end this year and the water level will be
allowed to return to normal levels in the existing mined
area. We will continue to monitor the constructed wetland
area and do remedial work around the lake if it is neces-
sary.
(4) No reclamation is required next year, but if dewatering ends
on the western parcel we may seed the above water slopes
once the lake has stabilized.
(5) The bond was evaluated in 1999 and reduced to $55,400.
Review of the evaluation and this annual report show that
less area is disturbed at this time that existed in 1999.
Reclamation except seeding is complete on the western 59.81
acres ± of the site so the total disturbance at this time is
28.13 acres ±, which is less then allowed under the current
bond. We feel it is adequate to cover all reclamation
requirements for this year.
The effective date of all information contained in this
report is November 15, 2001. if you have any questions please
call me.
cc file
Environment, Inc.
